About KV Kishtwar

Kendriya Vidyalaya Dul Hasti Project Kishtwar was established on 6th Nov. 1985 in the project premises of Dul Hasti Project of NHPC. It is situated at a distance of 1 km. From the main market as well as the Bus stand of Kishtwar. The Vidyalaya caters the educational needs of about 900 children of project employees as well as few children of local residents also. The Vidyalaya is marching ahead to impose the features of KV's under worthy directions of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan a leading Educational set up under Ministry of HRD-Govt. of India.
The Kendriya Vidyalaya DHP was inaugurated on 6th Nov.1985 upto class 5th by the then Chief Engineer Sh. Kanwar Pritpal Singh under the dynamic leadership Sh. K. K. Sarthi, Principal. With the passage of time the school has been upgraded up to class XII in 1991 in science stream only and now the Vidyalaya is functioning from class I to XII (double section from I to X and one section from each in science & Humanities in XI & XII. The Vidyalaya has improved the infrastructure facilities and education standard. The Vidyalaya has established a well furnished computer lab with 6 computers. The Vidyalaya has established mathematics laboratory in 2004 as per directions of CBSE to facilitate young children to understand the concept of mathematics easily. The Vidyalaya has a sound library also.
