Genesis

Kendriya Vidyalaya Kishtwar is located in District and tehsil Kishtwar in union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The district is located at around 240 km away from Jammu and is connected through a national highway.
Vidyalaya is sponsored by NHPC, and is located in its campus. It was established in 1985 and since then has gone a long way. At present it caters the educational needs of more than 900 students including the local population and wards of central government employees.
Vidyalaya has made a good name in academic excellence and has produced quality result in CBSE class 10th and 12th Board examination. Vidyalaya is one of the educational hubs in the district and of the KVS under KVS Regional Office Jammu.
